Bernard Landry

Coproduction MNM / ECM

L’importance des compositeurs pour l’identité culturelle d’un peuple

In the relaxed setting of Outremont’s Vasco da Gama restaurant, chair of the ECM’s 20th anniversary capital campaign Bernard Landry will speak about music as a window on cultural identity as well as the important role that composers play for a nation. A presentation by Michel Gonneville follows, with a focus on identity and a young first nations person’s rites of passage as musically described by the composer in Adonwe, scheduled for performance the following day by the ECM at Salle Pierre Mercure.

This will be a unique occasion to hear a politician and an artist in unison!
